About Me

As co-director of the University Innovation Fellows Program, Humera Fasihuddin brings a wealth of experience. She combines 15 years of work in industry and economic development to spark an innovation movement in academia. But it may be her nurturing side as a mother and a farmer that best shapes her approach to guiding students in higher education.

Humera strives to run a program buoyed by empathy and encouragement as it empowers students to become agents of change. She incorporates her own experiences as a burgeoning idealist to help create a community of young, savvy people armed with both the capacity to understand problems and the ability to generate, test and scale ideas that will make a difference in the world.

Whether she’s making sausage on her farm or building game-changing innovation movements, Humera loves to backwards engineer complex systems and find ways to make them even better.
